Leading wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc (SMART) has recently signed a deal with Nokia to offer Nokia Messaging on selected Nokia Nseries and Eseries devices. Nokia Messaging is an easy-to-use messaging service that will be available on a special data plan to SMART subscribers beginning September 26, 2009. The Nokia Messaging plan will initially be offered with the Nokia E75 and will also be offered to other Nokia Messaging capable devices in the near future.
 
Nokia Messaging mobilizes email from thousands of internet and email service providers globally.  Customers can have their personal email accounts pushed directly to their Nokia device from email service providers such as Ovi, Yahoo!®Mail, Gmail(TM), and Windows Live (TM) Hotmail®. Customers simply need to enter their email address and password to get emails pushed directly to the homescreen of their device. They can then read, send, forward and reply to emails as well as download, read, forward and attach files on the go. Small medium enterprises (SMEs) with their own POP/IMAP compliant email servers can also enjoy push email service with Nokia Messaging.
 
The Nokia E75 is the first Nokia device to ship with a horizontal slide-out QWERTY keymat and offers a unified messaging interface that combines email, MMS and SMS into one application.

América Móvil and Nokia announced today that they will bring a top of the line messaging experience in multiple devices to customers in Latin America.  The agreement adds to the leading collaboration between both companies in music and maps, to meet the growing demand for multimedia options on mobile devices in the region. 

 
Through this agreement, the Nokia Messaging solution will be available to América Móvil customers in seven countries before the end of the year. América Móvil is the first operator to announce a Latin America-wide offering of Nokia Messaging to its customers.

Through Nokia Messaging, América Móvil customers will be able to aggregate and manage multiple email accounts while on the move in a single application, using a very intuitive user interface. The Nokia Messaging solution is simple to set up and consumers can access up to 10 personal email accounts. Many users want to enjoy the flexibility of different accounts for each of their communities. With Nokia Messaging, people get the benefit of real time messaging and are able to read, send, forward and reply to emails, view subfolders, download and read attachments and also attach files to emails in real time using a Nokia device.
 
América Móvil and Nokia have agreed to launch Nokia Messaging first in five countries this summer with the Nokia E63, Nokia E71 Black, Nokia E72 and Nokia E75. These devices will include the license for Nokia Messaging, which will be promoted in attractive data plans together with América Móvil.

Nokia today announced the commercial launch of its pioneering Nokia Life Tools service in India. Nokia Life Tools is a range of Agriculture, Education and Entertainment services sharply addressing the information gaps of target consumers. Nokia unveiled much anticipated Nokia N97 mobile computer, will begin selling in June in more than 75 countries. Along with a tilting 3.5″ touch display, QWERTY keyboard and a fully customizable home screen, the Nokia N97 will offer instant access to the full range of Ovi services.
